Vehicle Maintenance Alert
By gps tracking device In Blog On March 26, 2014
Vehicle maintenance is to inspect or test the condition of car subsystems (e.g. engine) and servicing or replacing parts and fluids. Regular maintenance is crucial to ensure the safety, reliability, drivability, comfort and longevity of a vehicle. Vehicle maintenance is normally scheduled either by distance traveled (e.g. every 5000KM ) or time used (e.g. every 3 months).
Here we choose distance traveled to let GPS Tracker UT04 give out vehicle maintenance alert. Other models are available if required.
Steps and commands included:
1 Set maintenance alert distance A000000,104,X (X=1000 to 9000, unit is KM)
2 Query current distance A000000,105
GPS Tracker will reply a distance that vehicle has already traveled.
At ACC ON state, GPS tracker starts to record and accumulate distance.
At ACC ON state, if current distance has surpassed preset maintenance distance, GPS tracker will send alarm message to preset SOS notification number.
Example:
Send command A000000,104,3000 to set next time traveled maintenance distance as 3000KM
When vehicle has moved like 3010KM, GPS tracker will send alert in following format
Maintenance alert! 3000,3010 3000 is the preset maintenance distance. 3010 is the current traveled distance.
In order to make the distance collected by tracker accurate and distance accumulation stable, a extra flash memory is added.
